High Risk Building Search Techniques for Patrol and Detective Personnel
Course Duration: 1 day
Course Cost: $175
The vast majority of building searches are not performed by tactical units but
by patrol officers and detectives yet most agencies offer no training in this
critical function to these officers except at the police academy and during the
field training program. Searching buildings for suspects in hiding is a critical
and often life threatening skill which must receive on-going and continual
training.
This 1 - day course will deal with searching a wide variety of structures
including commercial, residential and government style buildings. Officers in
this course will deal with all lighting conditions and will execute these
searches utilizing both small and large groups to achieve a balance of search
speed, consistency and safety while at the same time taking into account the
staffing levels of smaller agencies.
Course Content:
• Case Studies
• De-briefs of Actual Events
• Classroom examination of Building Search Tactics
• Hands-on Building Search Tactics
The following components will be introduced to show the differences between
each, some such as the Officer/Civilian Down and Active Shooter, will be but a
small part of a much larger, separate class. They are presented here for
comparison purposes only.

Crisis Management for Field Supervisors
Course Duration: 2 Days
Course Cost: $300 per student / Agency pricing available
The resolution of many crisis situations will hinge on what the first field

management of a crisis situation from both the tactical and strategic
perspectives. This course will look at not only the immediate situational
outcome of the decisions that must be made but will also look at the broader
implications of those decisions from a management perspective.
Crisis Management for Field Supervisors will examine several critical situations
and discuss the actions, or inactions of supervisors that were present at each
incident. The course will not only discuss options for use during field level
operations but will examine the broader implications of how those decisions may
impact not only the agency involved but on law enforcement as a whole.
Students will take part in several mock situations to examine critical thinking
and the overall ability of the student to adapt to changing situations such as:
• Vehicle Pursuits
• Officer Down
• Mass Protests/Riots

• Hostage Situations
• School Takeovers

Close Protection Detail Officer-EMT
Course Duration: 18 days
Course Cost: Call for quote
The EMT-CPO Course is an eighteen day training program specifically designed
for police, military, close protection and civilian tactical teams deployed
to locations not immediately accessible by professional medical responders.
The coursework is fast paced and complete. Course instructors promptly put
into action the materials covered during the course through the use of
proven training methods including basic algorithm charting, trauma lanes and
real time scenarios. Students will learn to apply basic medical protocols to
emergency situations in remote, austere and hostile environments that can
effectively save lives.
The Tactical Medical Care Course consists of training in the four sections
listed below. Each of the following sections of the Tactical Medical Care
Course is taught by experienced instructors uniquely qualified to teach the
subject matter.
Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B): The EMT-B section follows
the training curriculum outlined by the USDOT/NHTSA. Successful completion
of this section qualifies the student to sit for the national registry
written and practical examination for the EMT-Basic.
American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider: The BLS
Healthcare Provider section is designed to meet the needs of healthcare
professionals who respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. The
content of this section includes adult and pediatric CPR, foreign-body
airway obstruction, and two-rescuer CPR. This section contains new
information on barrier devices, stroke, and automated external
defibrillation, including a new algorithm for use of automated external
defibrillators.
Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS): PHTLS courses are nationally
recognized continuing education credentials that are based on the Advanced
Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course for physicians and follow the protocols
developed by the Committee on Trauma. PHTLS courses are designed to provide
every practicing emergency care provider with a specific body of knowledge
to enhance the assessment and care of the trauma patient.
Trauma Combat Casualty Care (TCCC): The specifics of casualty care in
the tactical setting will depend on the tactical situation, the injuries
sustained by the casualty, the knowledge and skills of the first responder
(who may not be a medic or a corpsman), and the medical equipment at hand.
In contrast to an Emergency Department setting where the patient is the
mission, on the battlefield, care of casualties sustained is only one part
of the mission. TCCC recognizes this fact and structures its guidelines to
accomplish three primary goals: treat the casualty, prevent additional
casualties and complete the mission.
In a combat environment many challenges exist that will affect patient care.
Although the principles of trauma care must be carried out, the preferences
used may change significantly. The TCCC program was developed to customize
the principles of good trauma care for successful use on the battlefield.
